Dreieich's Zeisigweg Daycare Center Powers Up With New Solar System
Dreieich's Zeisigweg daycare center has undergone a significant expansion, now equipped with a new photovoltaic system. The city has signed a 20-year lease with Stadtwerke Dreieich for its operation.
The new wing's roof now hosts a solar array comprising 53 modules, boasting a total capacity of 21.20 kWp. This system is expected to produce around 18,100 kWh of electricity annually, with approximately 60% meeting the daycare's own energy needs.
Mayor Martin Burlon expressed the city's commitment to the energy transition, stating that they will increasingly equip suitable public buildings with solar installations. The system is also set to reduce CO₂ emissions by over 10,000 kg per year.
