Dreieich’s €100K Climate Program Funds Run Out in Months

Dreieich’s climate funding scheme has proven a rapid success. Launched in May 2025 with €100,000 available, the program received more applications than expected within months. The money has now been fully allocated to support local climate projects.

The initiative attracted 101 applicants, including private individuals and organizations. Their proposals covered a range of measures, from installing photovoltaic panels to green roofs and rainwater harvesting systems.

The program’s quick uptake shows strong local interest in climate action. With all funds distributed, officials will use the findings to refine upcoming initiatives. The focus remains on improving both climate protection and adaptation efforts in Dreieich.
