Dr Huwailah grants judicial authority to 11 cooperative sector employees
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Family, and Child Affairs has granted judicial powers to 11 national staff members. Minister Amthal Al-Huwailah signed the decision to strengthen oversight in the cooperative sector. The move aims to improve transparency and protect shareholders and consumers.
The newly empowered employees work within the General Administration of Cooperative Affairs. Their appointment follows existing laws on civil service, cooperative work, and judicial officers in the sector. Minister Al-Huwailah stated that the decision reinforces field inspection efforts to combat violations.
Inspection teams will remain active in monitoring cooperative operations. The ministry will enforce regulations more strictly to prevent misconduct. However, the names of the 11 authorised staff have not been made public, as personnel details are often withheld in official announcements.
The decision aligns with broader plans to tighten legal enforcement in the cooperative sector. Field inspections will continue, ensuring compliance with approved regulations. The ministry’s focus remains on maintaining integrity and addressing any breaches that could harm cooperative activities.
