Disco Owner Fined 6,000 Euros for Black Work Violations
A former disco owner in Regensburg has been fined 6,000 euros for black market work violations. The disco had not paid social security contributions for employees working before their official registrations, leading to an investigation by the Financial Control Black Market Work (FKS) of the Main Customs Office Regensburg.
The FKS discovered that the disco's employees were only registered for social security in January 2023, retroactively from November 2022, despite the disco being open earlier. This meant that the disco had not paid social security contributions of 8,546 euros for the period before the official registrations. The convicted person was fined 100 daily rates of 60 euros each, totaling 6,000 euros, and must also pay the outstanding social security contributions.
Gerhard Pylipp, head of the Financial Control Black Market Work of the Main Customs Office Regensburg, warned that black market work violations will eventually be discovered and have serious consequences.
The disco owner's failure to pay social security contributions for their employees has resulted in a significant fine. This serves as a reminder that black market work violations will not go unnoticed and can lead to substantial penalties. The Main Customs Office Regensburg continues to monitor and investigate such violations to ensure compliance with labour laws.
