Dietzenbach Red Cross secures €1,000 for critical emergency vehicle upgrade

The German Red Cross (DRK) branch in Dietzenbach has received a €1,000 donation to help fund a new incident command vehicle. The current vehicle is outdated and no longer meets the demands of modern emergency news operations. Local business HSD Hausmeister Service Dietzenbach provided the contribution to kickstart the project.

The DRK-Ortsgruppe Dietzenbach has so far raised €1,000 for the new Einsatzleitfahrzeug (incident command vehicle). Heinz Schicke, owner of HSD Hausmeister Service Dietzenbach, presented the donation to support the initiative.

The upgrade is essential because the existing command vehicle lacks the technology needed for efficient emergency news response. The new vehicle will include a fully equipped base unit, advanced command systems, and modern workstations. Additionally, the project will fund training programmes to ensure volunteers can use the equipment effectively.

A modernised command vehicle would improve coordination among volunteer responders. It would also strengthen cooperation with other aid organisations during emergencies.

The €1,000 donation marks the first step toward replacing the outdated vehicle. Once completed, the new command unit will provide better tools for emergency news management in Dietzenbach. The DRK branch continues to seek further funding to fully realise the project.
