Deutsche GigaNetz overhauls Obertshausen sales after misconduct complaints

Deutsche GigaNetz is adjusting its sales strategy in Obertshausen following complaints about unprofessional conduct. The company has ended its partnership with its previous sales provider and is now collaborating with two local businesses to engage residents and businesses.

The issues arose when Deutsche GigaNetz received multiple reports of poor sales practices during its fibre-optic network expansion in Obertshausen. In response, the company terminated its relationship with the existing sales partner and announced a new approach.

A new sales team is being introduced, with current members undergoing rigorous training and quality checks. To ensure the project remains commercially viable without public funding, at least 40% of residents and businesses must sign up. The company has extended the registration period until 4 March 2024, expressing confidence that the target will be met by then.

Deutsche GigaNetz has also partnered with two locally based businesses to enhance communication with potential customers. Their names have not yet been disclosed, with an official announcement expected at a later date.

The extended deadline gives residents and businesses in Obertshausen more time to register for the fibre-optic network. If the 40% participation rate is achieved, the expansion will proceed as planned. The company’s new sales measures aim to rebuild trust and ensure a smoother rollout.
