Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn Advises on New Group Management Board - Deutsche Bahn's Leadership Shifts: New Heads at Subsidiaries, CFO Role Vacant

The position of chief financial officer at Deutsche Bahn has been vacant since May 2023. Meanwhile, changes are afoot in the leadership of the company's subsidiaries, with new CEOs taking the helm at DB Cargo and Deutsche Bahn Regio.

Evelyn Palla has been at the helm of Deutsche Bahn Regio since October 2022, bringing her expertise to the regional transport division. In the freight subsidiary, DB Cargo, Bernhard Osburg has taken over as the new CEO from ThyssenKrupp Steel AG. Notably, Osburg is expected to succeed Sigrid Nikutta as the CEO of Deutsche Bahn Cargo in late October 2025, following her departure.

In other news, Levin Holle, who previously held a position at Deutsche Bahn, has left to become an advisor to Friedrich Merz (CDU) in the Chancellery.

With Evelyn Palla leading Deutsche Bahn Regio and Bernhard Osburg set to take over Deutsche Bahn Cargo, the company's leadership is poised for change. The vacancy for the chief financial officer position remains unfilled, awaiting a suitable candidate.
