Man Dies in Accident on Snowy Road near Fulda - Deadly three-vehicle crash on icy road leaves one man dead in Fulda

A fatal crash on a snow-covered road near Rommerz, in the Fulda district, has left one man dead. The collision involved three vehicles, including a box van and a truck that slid into oncoming traffic. Authorities have now launched an investigation into the incident.

The accident unfolded on an icy rural road outside Fulda. A 70-year-old truck driver lost control of his vehicle and veered into the opposite lane. His truck then collided head-on with a box van driven by a 51-year-old man.

The van driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. A female motorist, travelling behind the truck, rear-ended it and sustained minor injuries. Emergency services closed the road due to spilled vehicle fluids and hazardous weather conditions.

The Fulda public prosecutor's office is now examining the circumstances of the crash.

The road remained shut as crews cleared debris and fluids from the collision. Investigators will determine whether weather played a role in the fatal incident. The 70-year-old truck driver and the injured woman are assisting with inquiries.
