DDB Welcomes Kris Vilhelmsson as New Location Leader for Cupra and Seat

Kris Vilhelmsson has taken the reins as the new location leader at DDB, aiming to boost the communicative development of Cupra and Seat. Ute Poprawe, the former leader, will continue to advise and support the team while focusing on her role as Chairwoman of the DDB Germany Group. Meanwhile, Meik Vogler has been appointed Chief Client Officer at Havas Germany, and Norman Henkel joins DDB as the new Executive Creative Director.

Vilhelmsson's career spans from Procter & Gamble's industrial side to his recent role as Managing Director at Havas Germany, where he worked with prominent brands like Volvo, BMW Motorrad, Opel, Toyota, and Müller. At DDB, he succeeds Ute Poprawe, who will continue to support customers and the team in an advisory capacity. Christina Keller, the Chief Strategy Officer of the DDB Germany Group, will now focus on brands Cupra and Seat in addition to her group tasks.

Meik Vogler's appointment at Havas Germany signals a move to reinvent the agency. Meanwhile, Norman Henkel joins DDB as the new Executive Creative Director, taking charge of the creative output across various areas. Nico Combes will oversee the strategic leadership of the 50-person DDB Frankfurt agency and additionally support the brand development of Cupra and Seat. Henrike Mertens, who joined DDB last year, continues to lead consultation and coordination with partner agencies as Client Service Director.

With Kris Vilhelmsson at the helm, DDB looks to strengthen its support for Cupra and Seat's communicative development.
