Dax Kicks Off Thursday With 0.5% Gain, Led by Continental AG and Siemens Energy

Dax Kicks Off Thursday With 0.5% Gain, Led by Continental AG and Siemens Energy

The Dax index began Thursday's trading with a positive note, climbing 0.5 percent to around 24,170 points by 9:30 AM. Continental AG, Siemens Energy, and Mercedes-Benz Group led the gainers, while Deutsche Telekom, Eon, and Qiagen lagged behind.

Nikolai Setzer, the leader of Continental AG, saw his company's shares rise, contributing to the Dax's positive start. Siemens Energy, not Siemens AG, was the top gainer among the three leading companies. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Group also saw an increase in its share price.

At the other end of the spectrum, Deutsche Telekom, Eon, and Qiagen found themselves at the bottom of the Dax. Despite their performance, the overall index remained in the green.

The Dax's positive start to the day was driven by the strong performance of Continental AG, Siemens Energy, and Mercedes-Benz Group. Despite the lagging performance of some companies, the index managed to increase by 0.5 percent, indicating a positive sentiment among investors.
