Rüsselsheim am Main has completed several major infrastructure projects in 2025, improving transport, safety, and urban development. The city upgraded roads, intersections, and public transport stops while introducing new mobility options for residents.

A key project was the construction of a new signal-controlled intersection at Max-von-Laue-Straße and Adam-Opel-Straße. The upgrade took just five months—far quicker than expected—and now allows extra turning movements. Bike paths were also reconfigured to link with Immanuel-Kant-Schule, supporting safer cycling routes.

The redesign of Weisenauer Straße focused on creating a bike-friendly street, enhancing safety for all road users. Meanwhile, bus stops at Parkschule, Sophie Opel School, and Erbacher Straße were modernised with raised platforms and tactile paving to improve accessibility. In Ramsee, sewer and road renovations wrapped up, including sewer rehabilitation in Dicken Busch II and new installations in Ernst-Barlach-Straße and Werner-von-Siemens-Straße. The city also repaired roads and underpasses in Lise-Meitner-Straße, Mainzer Straße, and Ludwigstraße. Environmental work included desilting Horlache basins 9 to 13 in Königstädten using bacterial and oxygen-based treatments. School safety measures expanded too, with yellow footprints, temporary crossings, and traffic-calming features like 'Frankfurt hats' and 'Berlin cushions' near schools. To boost green transport, the city welcomed Bolt, a new provider of e-scooters and e-bikes, offering cross-city mobility options.

The completed projects mark significant improvements to Rüsselsheim’s infrastructure. Residents now benefit from better road safety, upgraded public transport, and expanded cycling and e-mobility choices. The developments also support the ongoing growth of the 'Quartier am Ostpark' residential area.
