Dallas Launches 2026 Culture Prize Nominations for Bold Innovators

Dallas has opened nominations for its 2026 Culture Prize. The award celebrates people and groups who bring fresh energy to the city's cultural scene. Residents can put forward candidates until the end of April.

The prize recognizes those who experiment, challenge, or connect through their work. It comes with $10,000 and highlights contributions that inspire or leave a lasting mark. Nominations must come from Dallas residents aged 16 or over.

Submissions can be sent by email or post, but self-nominations are not allowed. Previous nominees will not be automatically reconsidered. A jury of city officials, including the cultural affairs commissioner and council members, will review all entries.

The final decision will focus on three key areas: impact, continuity, and courage. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in City Hall's grand hall before the year ends.

The deadline for nominations is Thursday, April 30. The prize aims to spotlight those who shape Dallas's cultural landscape in bold or innovative ways. The ceremony will take place in City Hall later this year.
