Cyclist critically injured after BMW collision on State Road L 3141

A serious collision took place on State Road L 3141 near Großenlüder on Friday, February 6. A 23-year-old BMW driver struck a 30-year-old cyclist, leaving the rider with severe injuries. Emergency services rushed the cyclist to hospital shortly after the crash at 9:40 a.m.

The accident unfolded when the car and bicycle collided between Kleinlüder and Uffhausen. The impact knocked the cyclist from Bad Salzschlirf to the ground, causing significant harm. Authorities closed the road for over three hours, reopening it at 12:40 p.m.

The Fulda Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident. An expert assessment will examine how the crash occurred and determine responsibility. No further updates on the site's safety or traffic changes have been reported since the collision.

The injured cyclist remains under medical care following the accident. The road closure lasted until early afternoon, disrupting travel in the area. Officials continue to review the case, with findings expected once the expert report is complete.
