Crime spree hits Eschborn and Sulzbach with thefts and violent assaults
A series of crimes unfolded across Eschborn and Sulzbach over the past 24 hours. Police are investigating two motorcycle thefts, a violent shoplifting incident, and a break-in at basement storage units. One suspect remains at large after assaulting a security guard with pepper spray.
In Eschborn, a silver-gray Aprilia scooter was stolen at around 7:55 PM. The thieves removed its exhaust system and insurance plate before taking it. Hours later, between 10:00 PM and 6:30 AM, a blue Fantic Imola motorcycle was also reported missing. Authorities are now checking whether the two thefts are linked.
Earlier, two basement storage units in the same area were targeted. One was successfully forced open, but nothing appeared to have been taken. Meanwhile, in Sulzbach, a 14-year-old shoplifter sprayed pepper spray at a security guard while trying to flee. The guard suffered injuries and required hospital treatment. The teenager's accomplice escaped and is still being sought by police.
Police continue to investigate the incidents, including possible connections between the stolen vehicles. The injured security guard has received medical attention, while the search for the escaped accomplice remains ongoing. No further details on the suspects have been released at this time.
