Covers Pledges to Match Employee Fundraising

Covers Timber & Builders Merchants has launched a new initiative to boost staff charity efforts. The company will now match funds raised by employees, doubling their contributions up to ÂŁ1,000. The scheme aims to support those already involved in charitable work while encouraging others to take part.

Two employees at the Chichester branch have already benefited from the programme. Dominique Anns, Stock and Customer Collections Manager, and colleague Sue Boniface raised £866 for Cancer Research and Family First Ghana. Thanks to the company’s pledge, their total donation grew to £1,732.

Anns praised the scheme for giving staff extra motivation to support good causes. She highlighted how the matched funding makes a real difference to charities in need. Henry Green, Managing Director of Covers, also shared his enthusiasm for the initiative. He emphasised the company’s commitment to backing employees’ charitable work and helping worthy organisations.

The new scheme provides a clear financial boost to staff fundraising. With donations doubled, charities like Cancer Research and Family First Ghana will receive increased support. Employees now have added incentive to get involved in community and charity projects.
