Court Order Saves Transbaikalia’s Winter as Failing Boiler Gets Replaced

A failing heating system in Transbaikalia has been replaced after legal intervention. The Chernyshevsky district’s outdated boiler was upgraded following a court order secured by the local prosecutor’s office. Officials have now confirmed the new unit is ready for the upcoming winter season.

The issue first gained attention when State Duma Deputy Andrei Gurulyov raised concerns about heating failures in the region. He pointed to crumbling infrastructure as the root cause of unreliable warmth for residents. In response, the Chernyshevsky District Prosecutor’s Office took action, obtaining a court mandate to replace Boiler No. 2 at the central heating plant.

The new boiler system is set to provide reliable heating for local residents. With stricter fines now in place, officials hope to avoid further delays in infrastructure upgrades. The prosecutor’s involvement ensured the project was completed on time and within legal requirements.
