Court Bailiffs Force Landlord to Fix Blocked Apartment Ventilation in Biysk

A resident in Biysk has successfully forced a property management company to repair faulty ventilation in their apartment. The issue was resolved after court bailiffs intervened, ensuring the work met legal standards. The problem stemmed from cement mortar blocking the exhaust duct, leaving the flat without proper airflow.

The case began when a local resident noticed their apartment's ventilation system had stopped working. An inspection by the housing authority confirmed blockages in the exhaust duct, caused by chunks of cement mortar clogging the shaft.

The resident took the matter to court, which ruled in their favour. Despite the verdict, the management company initially failed to act. Court bailiffs then stepped in, notifying the company's leadership of enforcement proceedings and possible penalties.

Under the bailiffs' supervision, the firm carried out the necessary repairs. The ventilation system was brought into line with regulatory requirements, restoring proper airflow to the apartment.

No reports have emerged of similar defects in other residential buildings across the Altai region following this case or related court orders.

The enforcement action ensured the resident's ventilation was fixed to legal standards. The case highlights how court intervention can resolve housing disputes when management companies fail to comply. No further issues of this kind have been reported in the region since the repairs.
