Continuing full closure of Holzstraße in Dotzheim
Major pipeline works are set to restart on Holzstraße next week. The project, led by Stadtwerke München and Hessenwasser, will fully close a section of the road for nearly seven weeks. Residents and businesses in the area have been advised of the upcoming disruptions.
The works will begin on Monday, January 12, and continue until Friday, February 27. This follows a pause over the winter break. Stadtwerke München (SWM) is overseeing the main pipeline upgrades, while Hessenwasser GmbH handles the renewal of the water mains.
During the project, Holzstraße will be completely closed to cars and bicycles between house numbers 20 and 30. However, access to properties in the affected stretch will still be possible. Drivers and pedestrians can use Homburger Straße or the route via Dotzheimer Straße and Wiesbadener Straße to reach their destinations.
The closure will remain in place until late February, with no vehicle or bicycle access permitted through the designated section. Residents have been assured that alternative routes will stay open throughout the works. The upgrades aim to modernise essential infrastructure along Holzstraße.
