Con artists demand €260 for shoddy parking space cleaning in Wiesbaden

Two con artists tried to scam a resident in Wiesbaden-Sonnenberg on Tuesday afternoon. They offered to clean a parking space for an unusually high fee of €260. The incident ended with the suspects fleeing after the victim refused to pay and contacted the police.

The scam began when the two men approached the victim, claiming they could clean a parking area. After completing the work poorly, they demanded €260 for the service. The victim refused to hand over the money, which led to a heated argument and verbal abuse from the suspects.

As tensions rose, the victim called the police. The two men then quickly left the scene in a white van with 'Cleaning Service' written on it. Officers later confirmed that no details about the suspects were available.

The incident took place in the Sonnenberg district of Wiesbaden. Authorities have not released further information about the investigation at this time.

The suspects remain unidentified and are still at large. Police have urged residents to stay cautious of similar scams in the area. Anyone with information about the white van or the men involved is encouraged to come forward.
