Citi Names Sophie Landry as New Head of Markets for Germany and Austria

Citi has appointed Sophie Landry as its new head of markets for Germany and Austria. Landry brings extensive experience to the role, having held senior positions at various financial institutions, including the stock market today. Her appointment follows a series of hires by Citi, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. She joins the company from the European Investment Bank, where she served as head of portfolio and asset and liability management since May. Prior to this, she held the same role at the bank, having previously been head of treasury portfolio management. Landry has held numerous senior roles throughout her three-decade career in the industry, including managing director for fixed income solutions across Germany and Austria at Credit Suisse, Nomura International, and Lehman Brothers. Most recently, she was head of fixed income origination and solutions for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at NatWest Markets. Sophie Landry will be based in Frankfurt and will report to Fabio Lisanti, Citi's European head of markets. Her appointment is expected to strengthen Citi's market position in Germany and Austria, particularly in the us bank sector.
