Chubb appoints Stefano Fasone to lead EMEA underwriting from Madrid

Chubb has named Stefano Fasone as the new Director of its EMEA Underwriting Centre in Madrid. The appointment follows a career of nearly eight years with the company, where he has held several leadership roles across Europe. His promotion aims to strengthen the firm’s underwriting operations in the region.

Fasone first joined Chubb in 2016 as an Environmental Risk Underwriter. Over time, he took on greater responsibilities, becoming Environmental Risk Line Manager for Italy and later Italy Team Leader at the Continental Europe Underwriting Centre.

In 2024, he was promoted to Northern Europe Team Manager within the EMEA Underwriting and Service Centre. Before his latest role, he also served as Italy and Germanics Team Manager, overseeing underwriting activities in key markets.

Now, as Director of the EMEA Underwriting Centre, Fasone will focus on improving operational efficiency. His goals include maintaining high service standards for Chubb’s partners and brokers while expanding the company’s multiline, multilingual underwriting capabilities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The new leadership role places Fasone at the centre of Chubb’s regional strategy. His experience in environmental risk and team management will support the company’s efforts to deliver consistent, high-quality underwriting services. The Madrid-based centre will remain a key hub for Chubb’s operations in the EMEA region.
