Childrenās snowball prank on motorway sparks criminal investigation near Wiesbaden
Four children aged between 12 and 13 threw snowballs onto a busy motorway near Wiesbaden on Thursday evening. The incident, which took place around 5:15 PM on January 8, 2026, led to damage and a police investigation.
The children were standing on a bridge over the A643 motorway when they hurled snowballs at passing vehicles. One of the projectiles struck the windshield of a white Å koda Octavia, driven by a 30-year-old man from Bad Camberg.
Authorities have since launched a criminal investigation into dangerous interference with road traffic. Anyone who witnessed the event or may have been affected is urged to come forward. The Wiesbaden Motorway Police Station has asked for information from the public. Witnesses or victims can contact them directly at 0611 / 345-4140.
