Chaotic Wiesbaden weekend leaves boy injured and driver hospitalized

The weekend began with a burglary between 4:00 PM on Saturday and 2:00 PM on Sunday. Thieves broke into an apartment building on Heinrich-Heine-Straße in Wiesbaden-Schierstein, stealing jewellery and cash. On Friday evening, a 53-year-old man lost control of his car on the A66 between Erbenheim and Nordenstadt. The vehicle crashed into a guardrail, causing major traffic delays while emergency crews cleared the scene. The driver was taken to a Wiesbaden hospital for further medical checks. On Sunday afternoon, a 10-year-old boy was injured in a knife altercation on Theodor-Heubach-Straße in Wiesbaden-Klarenthal. Emergency responders treated him at the scene. Police are searching for two suspects, aged 12 to 14. One was wearing a dark winter hat with white detailing, a dark jacket, dark pants, dark shoes, and a dark waist bag. The other wore a khaki jacket and a dark winter hat. During speed enforcement checks on Sunday between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM, officers issued 23 fines on Berliner Straße. One driver faces a potential ban after being clocked at 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. An electric-assisted delivery bicycle was also impounded for lacking mandatory insurance and being ridden without a licence.
The incidents over the weekend have prompted police appeals for witnesses. The injured boy and the car crash victim remain under medical observation. Meanwhile, traffic enforcement continues as part of ongoing road safety measures in the area.
