Car Crash Damages Tram Pole, Alters Lampertheim Public Transport
A tram pole in Lampertheim was severely damaged last night when a car spun out of control and crashed into it. The driver sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. The incident has led to changes in public transport services.
The collision, caused by a 29-year-old driver who lost control after driving over a median strip, left the tram pole severely damaged. It had to be dismantled, leading to the closure of the sidewalk at the crash site, though the roadway remains open.
Replacement services are in effect throughout the night, with buses substituting for trams between the city center and Eberstadt. Passengers can transfer to trams between Eberstadt and Alsbach. Delays may still occur on the route due to the incident.
The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The vehicle was towed away from the scene.
The search for three teenagers suspected of robbing a 39-year-old man in Lampertheim continues, with no new information available. The tram pole crash has led to temporary changes in public transport, with replacement services and bus transfers in place. The roadway remains open, but the sidewalk at the crash site remains closed.
