Car break-in on Elisabethenweg leaves Flieden residents on alert
Police in Flieden are investigating a car break-in that took place in the early hours of Tuesday, February 3. Unknown individuals entered private property on Elisabethenweg and targeted a white Hyundai. The thieves made off with loose change from the vehicle's centre console. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. when the offenders accessed the Hyundai parked on the property. They searched the car for valuables but left without causing any visible damage. Only loose change from the centre console was reported missing.

This break-in follows a series of similar vehicle-related thefts in the Fulda and Osthessen region over the past year. Reports include catalytic converter thefts in Fulda in June 2025, further converter removals in Bad Hersfeld in October 2025, and car thefts in Neuhof in January 2026.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police reviewing the incident for possible links to other cases. Residents are advised to secure their vehicles and report any suspicious activity immediately. No arrests have been made so far.
