Behind them, we see a man is trying to hold the green garlands. Behind him, we see the wall or the pillars with some text written. At the bottom, we see the grass and the pavement. Caernarvon Township updates pension plan under new Pennsylvania contract

Caernarvon Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has agreed to amend its non-uniform pension plan. The changes come under a new contract with the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Board. Officials have also confirmed the township’s commitment to state pension laws and funding standards.

The township’s Board of Supervisors approved the updated pension agreement, which outlines payment responsibilities and liability assumptions. Under the terms, the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System will manage the plan and distribute benefits according to the official documents.

The contract will take effect once authorised and formally filed with the system. As part of the update, Caernarvon Township has pledged to follow the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Law and the Municipal Pension Plan Funding Standard and Recovery Act. No current solicitor for the township’s board was named in available records. While Berks County lists solicitors such as Christine M. Sadler, Esq., and Cody Kauffman, Esq., no specific details were found regarding Caernarvon Township’s legal representation.

The amended pension plan will now be administered by the state retirement system. Caernarvon Township’s compliance with funding and legal requirements ensures the agreement moves forward. The next step involves formal authorisation and filing before the changes take full effect.
