Busy Week for Schwalm-Eder Police: Brawl, Break-in, Arrests

Police in Schwalm-Eder district have had a busy week dealing with various incidents, including a brawl, a break-in, and several arrests. Here's what happened.

A large-scale brawl near a pizzeria at the Linggplatz was broken up by police. Two reports were taken for mutual assault, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. Both groups involved were given a dispersal order.

In an unrelated incident, unknown persons gained entry to an apartment in 'Grüner Weg' by prying open a ground-floor window. They searched the rooms, causing approximately €500 in damage.

During a routine check, police found a 24-year-old from Homberg (Efze) in possession of a small amount of amphetamine. It was seized, and the individual faces prosecution for violating the Narcotics Act.

A police officer was lightly injured on the finger during the deployment, but details of the incident are not yet clear.

At a gas station, a witness reported a man appearing heavily intoxicated getting into a vehicle. His arrest followed for drunk driving, driving without a license, and resisting police officers.

In an act of vandalism, unknown persons scratched a black Audi in Dudenstraße, causing approximately €3,000 in damage.

Two 18-year-olds removed slats from the security grilles of a business and refused to stop when asked. A 22-year-old then slapped one of them.

Police are continuing their investigations into these incidents. Anyone with information is urged to come forward. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old arrested for violating the Narcotics Act will face prosecution, and the individual arrested for drunk driving and resisting police officers will also face charges. The police remind the public to report any suspicious activity.
