Burglars Strike Two East Hesse Homes, Causing €5,000 in Damage

Unknown burglars targeted two single-family homes in East Hesse, causing an estimated €5,000 in property damage. The incidents occurred in Bad Hersfeld and Rotenburg between 12 October and 26 October.

In Bad Hersfeld's Asbach district, burglars pried open a basement window to gain entry to a home. They searched multiple rooms and fled with cash. Meanwhile, in Rotenburg, a home on Hexenlinde Street was broken into between Friday morning and Saturday afternoon time. The police chief of the East Hessian Police Directorate confirmed the incidents.

In a separate incident, illegally dumped paint cans and painting supplies were found along the K 60 road toward Dickenrück in Rotenburg on Saturday afternoon time. The items were secured, and the road maintenance department was notified for proper disposal.

The police are investigating both the burglaries and the illegal dumping. Residents are advised to secure their homes and report any suspicious activity. Anyone with information is urged to contact the East Hessian Police Directorate.
