Burglar smashes rear window to rob Limburg apartment in broad daylight

An apartment burglary took place in Limburg on December 5, 2025, between 5:00 PM and 6:16 PM. The break-in occurred at a multi-unit residential building on Goethestraße, where unknown intruders stole cash after forcing entry through a smashed window at the rear of the property.

The resident of the affected apartment had left briefly around 5:00 PM. Upon returning, they found the internal door chain engaged and discovered the burglary. The perpetrators had gained access by smashing a window at the back of the building.

The investigation remains ongoing, with police urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Witnesses can contact Limburg Criminal Police directly at (06431) 9140-0. No further details about the resident or the exact amount stolen have been disclosed.
