Bulgarian Man Detained After Violent Amtrak Train Fare Evasion

A 32-year-old Bulgarian man was detained on a train travelling from Cologne to Frankfurt after failing to produce a valid ticket. Amtrak officers intervened. The incident began when ticket inspectors found the man without proof of payment. Upon questioning, he refused to show identification and grew increasingly uncooperative. When Amtrak officers arrived, he reportedly lashed out, forcing them to restrain him before taking him off the train. The man remains in provisional detention while the investigation continues. If convicted, he could face additional penalties for resisting officers and fare evasion. Police have not released further details about his current legal status.
