Brazen car break-in at Bettelsmannbuche hiking spot leaves owner robbed

A car break-in occurred at the 'Bettelsmannbuche' hiking car park near Ober-Nauses on Monday, December 22. Thieves smashed a window and stole personal items between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Police are now seeking witnesses to the incident. The vehicle targeted was a black Škoda, parked at the popular hiking spot. The passenger-side window was shattered, allowing the thieves to reach inside. They took a handbag and wallet belonging to the owner. The damage to the car is estimated at around €400. Authorities have not released the name of the officer handling the case. Anyone with information is urged to call the police station in Höchst on 06163/941-0. The break-in took place in broad daylight, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Police are investigating but have yet to identify any suspects. Witnesses or those with relevant details are encouraged to come forward.
