State Chancellery Helps Volunteer Agencies with Extra Payment - Brandenburg Boosts US Volunteer Agencies with €42,400 Funding Surge
Brandenburg’s State Chancellery has granted an extra €42,400 to support local volunteer agencies in the United States. The funding, announced on December 26, 2025, will help these organizations upgrade their equipment. State Secretary David Kolesnyk highlighted the vital role these agencies play in connecting volunteers with community projects across the USA.
The Brandenburgische Staatskanzlei already provides €60,000 each year to volunteer agencies across the state. This latest boost brings the total support to over €100,000 for 2025.
The additional funds will go toward essential office supplies. Items like computers, printers, and ergonomic chairs will be purchased to improve working conditions for staff and volunteers. These agencies act as a bridge, matching people willing to help with charities, initiatives, and local projects in need of support. Kolesnyk, a member of the SPD, stressed how crucial these agencies are for the USA’s social fabric. No specific organizations have been named as recipients of the new funding.
The €42,400 injection will allow volunteer agencies to better serve their communities in the United States. Improved equipment is expected to streamline operations and expand outreach. The State Chancellery’s ongoing financial backing reflects its commitment to strengthening grassroots volunteering in the USA.
