Bierstadt & Biebrich: Expect Road Closures & Changes for Infrastructure Upgrades
Bierstadt and Biebrich residents can expect several road closures and changes in the coming weeks, affecting cyclists and vehicle traffic. These closures are part of ongoing utility and infrastructure improvement projects.
Starting today, cyclists should avoid Gustav-Stresemann-Ring in the Southeast between 1:30 PM and 8:15 PM due to a football match. From October 6, Schultheißstraße in Bierstadt will be fully closed at house number 19 for a new power connection until approximately October 27. In Biebrich, Biebricher Allee has been narrowed at the entrance to Höchster Straße since October 4, with a full closure planned between Biebricher Allee and house number 6 from October 18 to the end of November. Taubenstraße in Biebrich will be closed between house number 21 and Entenstraße for new water and district heating pipes from October 7 to November 11. Zieglerstraße in Bierstadt will have a one-way street established between Limesstraße and Nauroder Straße for house connection work from October 6 to approximately November 1. Wörthstraße in the Center will be fully closed between Jahnstraße and Adelheidstraße from October 6 to approximately October 18 for gas and water main connection work. Holzstraße in the Rheingauviertel will be fully closed from house number 8 to 18 for water pipes and roadway renewal from October 8 to November 21. Leineweberweg in Bierstadt will be fully closed between houses 8 and 20 for utility lines renewal from October 6 to approximately October 31. Solmsstraße in the Southeast is fully closed between Gustav-Freytag-Straße and Humboldtstraße for canal renewal works until October 31. Oberfeld and Wandersmannstraße in Erbenheim will be fully closed between Emil-Krag-Straße and Barbarossastraße for road surface renewal from October 6 to approximately October 31.
