This year’s Green Week celebrated its 100th anniversary with record-breaking attendance. Over 350,000 visitors passed through the exhibition halls—40,000 more than last year. The main event even saw temporary entry suspensions over the final weekend due to overwhelming crowds.

The opening ceremony welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, marking the start of the milestone edition. Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) later toured the exhibition halls, joining the celebrations.

Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer (CSU) attended his first Green Week since taking office. He also referenced the event in a Bundestag debate on future agricultural policies. The surge in visitors exceeded all projections, forcing organisers to briefly halt admissions during peak hours.

The 100th Green Week set new attendance records, drawing over 350,000 people. High-profile figures, including the president and chancellor, joined the festivities. Organisers will now assess how to manage future crowds after this year’s unprecedented turnout.
