Beige VW Van Flees After Hit-and-Run in Frohnhausen
A hit-and-run incident occurred in Frohnhausen on 3 October, causing significant damage. A beige VW van with black applications and a roof rack struck a parked car trailer before fleeing the scene. Police are seeking witnesses and information about the vehicle, which may have been a Hyundai IONIQ 5.
The incident happened on the main street around 1:40 PM. The van driver, presumed to be responsible, failed to stop or provide information. Police estimate the damage to the trailer at around 1,500 euros. Witnesses are urged to contact the police in Dillenburg.
Separately, on 1 October, a truck driver was stopped on the A45 for violating regulations. He had been on the road for over 20 hours, which is against regulations. The driver also illegally overtook other vehicles and repeatedly exceeded the speed limit. Both the driver and his transport company face substantial fines.
The hit-and-run incident in Frohnhausen is under investigation. Police are seeking information about the beige VW van and any potential witnesses.
