Baunatal's 60th anniversary celebration unites past achievements and future ambitions
Baunatal's annual New Year's reception highlighted the city's 60th anniversary while looking ahead to future milestones. Hosted by Raphael Digiacomo and Svenja Möller, the event brought together officials, residents, and international guests to reflect on progress and upcoming challenges.

Meanwhile, Plant Manager Jörg Fenstermann discussed the Volkswagen factory's role in shaping the city's development over the decades.
City Council Chair Reiner Heine and First Deputy District Administrator Silke Engler used the occasion to remind attendees of the local elections on March 15. They encouraged everyone to participate in the democratic process. Representatives from Baunatal's twin cities also attended, reaffirming their long-standing partnerships during the reception.
