Baunatal honors nine long-serving employees in heartfelt ceremony

The city of Baunatal recently recognised nine employees for their long-standing dedication in a ceremony at Stadthallenrestaurant Zur Linde. Among them were staff from daycare centers, municipal works, and wastewater services, with one educator celebrating an impressive 40 years of service.

Four employees marked a quarter-century of service. Paulina Ebers, a daily assistant at Stadtpark Daycare Center, received recognition alongside Sabrina Schönewald, a teacher at Birkenallee Daycare Center. Thomas Sandmüller, a wastewater treatment operator for the Wastewater Association (VAH), and Harald Frese, from IT & Communications Technology in General Administration, were also honoured.

The ceremony highlighted the city’s appreciation for its long-term employees. Those recognised will continue their roles, while retirees left with formal thanks for their contributions. The event underscored the value of experience within Baunatal’s public services.
