Bank of America names Vikram Sahu as new India CEO after RBI approval
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved Vikram Sahu’s appointment as the new CEO of Bank of America N.A. in India. He will take over from Kaku Nakhate, who has led the bank’s operations in the country for the past 15 years.
Sahu brings over three decades of experience to his new role, having worked across India, Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, and Europe. Most recently, he served as the head of global equity research in New York. His academic background includes a degree from St Stephen’s College in New Delhi.
The leadership change follows regulatory approval from the RBI. Sahu’s appointment marks a shift in the bank’s India operations, with Nakhate moving into a client-focused role. The transition is expected to bring new strategic direction to Bank of America’s presence in the country.
