A joint campaign by Touch 'n Go, Minister, and bKash has successfully encouraged expatriates to send money through official banking channels. Running from October 1 to December 31, 2025, the initiative aimed to boost legal remittance flows into Bangladesh. Winners were later recognised at an event held at bKash’s head office in Dhaka.

The three-month campaign partnered with Eastern Bank PLC to promote remittances directly to bKash accounts. Expatriates could transfer funds through 135 international money transfer operators across 170 countries, with settlements handled by 27 leading commercial banks in Bangladesh. The government also provided an incentive of Tk 25 for every thousand taka sent.

Prizes were awarded to 63 relatives of expatriates who received the highest remittances via Touch 'n Go from Malaysia. Each month, the top recipient won a Minister product coupon worth Tk 1,50,000. Additionally, five weekly winners received coupons ranging from Tk 25,000 to Tk 5,000, redeemable at Minister showrooms using bKash payments. The prize distribution took place at bKash’s headquarters, where winners collected their rewards. The campaign highlighted the ease of sending remittances directly to mobile wallets while offering tangible benefits to participants.

The initiative concluded with 63 families receiving prizes for their high-value transfers. By linking remittances to rewards, the campaign reinforced the use of legal banking channels. The government’s cash incentive and bKash’s digital payment system remain in place for future transactions.
