Bally's Acquires Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport Expansion Push
Bally's Corporation has reached a deal to buy Sam's Town Hotel & Casino in Shreveport, Louisiana. The agreement with Boyd Gaming Corporation marks a significant move in the local gaming market. The company plans to share more details about its future vision for the property soon.
Sam's Town Shreveport has been under Boyd Gaming's ownership since 2004. The property includes 750 slot machines, 14 table games, and a 514-room hotel. Bally's already operates a nearby casino, Bally's Shreveport Casino & Hotel, giving it a strong presence in the area.
The acquisition is set to finalise in the third quarter of 2023. Bally's has highlighted plans to reinvest in Shreveport, aiming to boost its gaming and entertainment offerings. Beyond this, no specific projects or changes have been announced yet.
Bally's currently runs two other properties in Louisiana and two more in neighbouring Mississippi. The company's expansion in the region suggests a broader strategy to strengthen its position in the southern gaming market.
Once the deal closes, Bally's will control two major casino properties in Shreveport. The company's focus on reinvestment could bring new developments to the area's gaming scene. Further details on its plans for Sam's Town are expected in the coming months.
