Bad Homburg Rocked by Overnight Vandalism and Burglaries
Bad Homburg residents were left shocked and concerned after a series of incidents overnight from Thursday to Friday. Vandals targeted multiple locations with anti-constitutional graffiti, while burglars struck homes in the city.
Between 22:00 on Thursday and 01:15 on Friday, unknown perpetrators vandalised signs, fences, and advertising boards in Theodor-Heuss-Straße, Heinrich-Böll-Weg, and Straße Wiesenau. The graffiti included swastikas and xenophobic slogans, prompting a police investigation into the hate-motivated crimes.
In a separate incident, a single-family home on Quellenweg was burgled. The thieves gained entry by removing tiles and drilling a hole through the attic between 9.15 on Thursday and 8.30 on Friday. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Earlier that morning, around 04:26, three unknown individuals attempted to steal a green VW Polo in Ober-Eschbach. The police are treating this as a separate incident and are seeking information from the public.
The Bad Homburg police station is accepting tips for both the vandalism and burglary cases. Police are investigating these incidents and offer free individual burglary prevention consultations for homes. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
