B27 crash leaves €8,000 damage after Mercedes-Benz collision
A crash on the B27 caused significant delays on February 20. The incident involved two vehicles—a Mercedes Sprinter and a Mercedes-Benz car—resulting in around €8,000 worth of damage. Despite the collision, no wider traffic disruptions were reported across the Fulda and Bad Hersfeld police districts that day.
The accident took place when a 70-year-old man driving a Mercedes Sprinter collided with a 19-year-old in a Mercedes-Benz. The force of the impact left the Sprinter undriveable, forcing it to be towed from the scene. This caused temporary hold-ups for motorists travelling in all directions.
Police confirmed that, despite the local congestion, no broader traffic problems occurred in the surrounding areas. Authorities logged no other accident-related delays in Fulda or Bad Hersfeld on the same day.
The damaged Sprinter required removal, leading to short-term traffic issues on the B27. While the crash caused local disruption, wider roads in the region remained unaffected. The estimated repair costs for both vehicles reached approximately €8,000.
