PSW Automotive Engineering, a subsidiary of Audi, is undergoing significant restructuring. The company has announced plans for major job cuts, with the Ingolstadt site expected to be most affected. Negotiations are underway between management, the works council, and IG Metall to determine the company's future direction.

Up to 30 percent of positions at PSW Automotive Engineering could be eliminated, although the exact number of employees affected has not been specified. The Neckarsulm site, which employs roughly 100 people, may face closure, though this is considered unlikely.

The news of job cuts was announced via video message, which the union has criticized as a provocation. The works council and IG Metall have begun negotiations with management to mitigate the impact of the redundancies, which are necessary for operational reasons.

PSW Automotive Engineering's restructuring is part of Audi's broader business division reorganization.
