Audi and Volkswagen caught in weekend crime spree and collision chaos
A series of car-related crimes and accidents took place in the early hours and afternoon of Saturday, January 10, 2026. The incidents included thefts, vandalism, and a collision that left two people injured and two vehicles written off. Police are investigating each case separately.
The first incident occurred just after midnight. Around 12:35 AM, two unknown men slashed the tyres of a red Audi A3 parked on GrabenstraĆe in Allendorf. No further details about the suspects have been released.
Between 1:00 AM and 1:45 AM, thieves targeted unlocked cars in Haiger and Sechshelden. On Schƶnblick Street in Haiger, an Opel Agila and a Volkswagen Golf were stolen from open vehicles. Meanwhile, in Sechshelden, a bank card and cigarettes were taken from two unlocked cars. Authorities have not disclosed the names of those responsible. Later that day, at around 12:35 PM, an 80-year-old man from Bad Camberg was driving his gray Volkswagen Arteon on L 3044 toward Odersberg. A small car suddenly cut in front of him, forcing him to brake and swerve. The resulting collision involved an Audi Q4, which skidded across the road and grazed a 15-year-old pedestrian before crashing into a parked Audi A4. Both the Q4 driver and the pedestrian suffered minor injuries, while the Golf and the Q4 were declared total losses, with damages estimated at ā¬34,000.
The incidents left two people with minor injuries and caused significant property damage. Police continue to investigate the thefts and vandalism, though no arrests have been made so far. The collision remains under review as authorities assess the circumstances.
