Audi and BMW vandalised in Bensheim with graffiti and scratches

A gray Audi and a blue BMW were vandalised in Bensheim between Monday evening and Wednesday afternoon. The cars, parked on Martinstraße and near Burgstraße, suffered scratches and graffiti-like inscriptions. Police have now opened an investigation into the criminal damage.

The incident took place between 9:15 p.m. on March 2 and 4:00 p.m. on March 4. The gray Audi, parked on Martinstraße, had the words 'SOS' and 'LOL' scratched into its paint. Nearby, a blue BMW at the corner of Martinstraße and Burgstraße was defaced with a football-related inscription.

Bensheim Police Station (Precinct 41) is handling the case. The total cost of the damage is estimated at around €5,000.

Vehicle vandalism is not uncommon in the area. Over the past 12 months, around 45 similar cases were reported in the Bensheim district, according to data from the Hessian State Criminal Police Office (LKA Hessen).

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact police at +49 6251 8468-0.

The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify those responsible. Police continue to monitor the area for further incidents. Residents are advised to report any suspicious activity immediately.
