Armed trio steals cartons of cigarettes in bold supermarket heist

Three men, one of them keeping watch, forced their way into a supermarket warehouse in Allendorf/Lumda yesterday evening. They stole multiple cartons of cigarettes and fled the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The trio struck around 6:20 p.m., targeting the store's warehouse. Two suspects, described as a 25 to 35-year-old man with a stocky build and a long, black full beard, and a 45 to 55-year-old man with a stocky frame and distinctive large glasses, forced their way in. The third suspect, who kept watch, has an average build.

They made off with several cartons of cigarettes, using a shopping cart to carry their stolen goods. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Giessen Criminal Police on 49 641 7006-6555.
