Armed suspect threatens Wiesbaden hotel worker after being ejected for misconduct
A knife-wielding suspect threatened a hotel worker in central Wiesbaden on Friday afternoon. The man had earlier been asked to leave the building after urinating in the hallways. Police launched an immediate search but failed to locate him.
The incident began when the suspect, described as around 45 years old, 1.70 metres tall, and partially bald, entered a hotel on Auguste-Viktoria-Straße without permission. He went to the first floor before an employee confronted him and demanded he leave. Instead of complying, the man reacted aggressively and threatened the worker.
After being ejected, the suspect returned and pulled a hunting knife from his coat pocket. He then gestured menacingly toward the employee before fleeing in the direction of the main train station. Witnesses reported him wearing a carhartt jacket and carrying a black trekking backpack.
Police responded quickly but were unable to find the suspect. While other incidents, including burglaries and a car theft, were reported in Wiesbaden that day, no large-scale manhunt or additional search measures were implemented. Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact them on 0611/345-0.
The suspect remains at large, and police continue to seek public assistance in identifying him. His description—partially bald, 1.70 metres tall, and wearing a carhartt jacket—has been circulated. The investigation into the knife threat and earlier disturbances at the hotel is ongoing.
