Armed robber targets Bad Nauheim jewelry store in broad daylight heist
A jewelry store in Bad Nauheim was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday evening. The incident took place at around 5:30 p.m. on March 26, 2026, along Parkstraße. Police have since ramped up patrols in the city centre as the search for the suspect continues. The masked robber entered the store and pushed an employee to the ground before grabbing jewelry from the display. The staff member was left unharmed. The suspect then fled on foot, carrying a green backpack.
Witnesses later reported seeing the man in Bad Nauheim's city centre shortly after the robbery. He is described as being between 30 and 35 years old, roughly 185 cm tall, with short hair. At the time, he wore a black jacket, a dark blue turtleneck, light blue jeans, red gloves, black Nike shoes, and carried a green backpack. Despite an extensive search, authorities have yet to locate the suspect. The exact value of the stolen items remains unknown. This is the first armed robbery of a jeweller in the Bad Nauheim and Gießen region since at least 2025. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and contact Friedberg Police Station or their nearest local department.
