Apple Pay Takes Over Frankfurt Airport This Summer

Frankfurt Airport is hosting a significant Apple Pay campaign this summer, thanks to a collaboration between Media Frankfurt, Fraport, and Frankfurt Airport Retail (FAR). The campaign, titled 'Touchpoint Airport', aims to showcase Apple Pay as a simple and secure payment method using an iPhone or Apple Watch.

Spanning across terminals 1 and 2, the campaign is visible in various areas including check-in, gates, retail spaces, and baggage claim. It even extends to the point of sale in duty-free shops and other retail stores, with visibility at payment terminals. Media Frankfurt activated around 320 advertising carriers, including large digital screens and static highlight areas, to ensure a seamless brand presence.

Martin Korosec, CEO of Media Frankfurt, praised the campaign, stating that it demonstrates the power of a comprehensive omnichannel media mix at the airport. He noted that such campaigns create a meaningful brand experience that goes beyond mere visibility, transforming transit areas into brand spaces. Frankfurt Airport, being one of the world's busiest, provides an ideal stage for reaching a mobile, purchasing, and travel-loving target group in an international environment where digital services are gaining importance.

The 'Touchpoint Airport' campaign, a collaboration between Fraport and Gebr. Heinemann, is set to run throughout the summer, offering passengers a firsthand experience of Apple Pay's simplicity and security. With its extensive reach across the airport, it promises to make a significant impact on the tech-savvy, international audience that passes through Frankfurt Airport daily.
