Almaty’s TV Tower Glows with New Architectural Lighting System
Almaty’s iconic TV tower in Bostandyk District now features a new architectural lighting system. City Hall has disclosed the project’s total cost and the company behind the installation. The work was completed under a contract signed last October.
The lighting system was installed at the Almaty Television Tower, situated at the crossroads of Satpayev and Zheltoksan streets. The project’s contract was awarded to Lumipro, with the official agreement signed on October 15, 2025.
The contractor, Costco, secured the job through a competitive bidding process. According to City Hall, the entire project cost 13,817,373.57 tenge.
The new lighting enhances the tower’s night-time appearance. The project’s budget and contractor details have now been made public. The installation marks another step in modernising Almaty’s urban landmarks.
